JUBILEE 2025- PILGRIMS OF HOPE
Pope Francis has announced that 2025 will be a Jubilee Year. This happens every 25 years. The theme for Jubilee 2025 is “Pilgrims of Hope”. The 2025 Jubilee officially opened on December 24, 2024 at 7:00pm, with the rite of Opening of the Holy Door of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter by the Holy Father, who presided over the celebration of the Night Mass of the Lord's Birth inside the Basilica.
Our Cathedral, along with the Shrine of Saint Therese in Juneau are being designated as Holy Year places of pilgrimage in the Archdiocese. People throughout the archdiocese are encouraged to visit the Cathedral as Holy Year pilgrims.
